JASPER -- the Terrible Puppy!
Yes, we have a name. Well, a call name, anyway. Dear Robert came home from his manager's meeting and said "How about Jasper?" It seemed to fit somehow.
He doesn't look terrible, does he?

We're at the roll-the-frisbee-across-the-floor-and-let-the-puppy-chase-it stage. He will chase and fetch it back. But his favorite thing to do with the frisbee is tug it or chew on it. It's already got little puppy toothmarks all around the edges. Now imagine those little puppy teeth gnawing on your hands and fingers. And if you lie down on the floor next to him, be sure to protect your ears and glasses. Aussie puppies are notorious hand-biters, so I wasn't surprised by this. But lack of surprise doesn't make my hand feel better when he chomps on it.
Don't worry, we know how to cope with it. I just wish teaching bite inhibition went a little more quickly!
He does sit still occasionally. Here he's listening to the dogs on TV (we were watching The Yearling on TCM:

We went for a long walk yesterday, and he was poopered all afternoon. A tired puppy is a good puppy, ya know? Of course that meant will all the rest yesterday he was r'aring to go this morning.
But he's a good puppy, and we love him.
Oh, here's a Playgirl puppy pose. Sorta.

Daily Knitting Report:
Yes, I am still getting a little knitting in. I'm almost done with my first Fluted Bannister sock. I'm probably going to have to finish the toe with contrasting yarn, but that's ok, I'm prepared for that. I don't think one skein of the yarn I'm using will quite make a man's sock.

I had a cat named Jasper. Good name!
