I found out today that my father has cancer in his right kidney, bad enough that the doctor wants to schedule surgery to remove his whole kidney ASAP.
Right now, this is all I know. My dad hasn't told us any of this. I found it out by calling his doctor's office to get information. We're waiting to get an appointment with the doctor so that my siblings and I can go down and find out what the heck is going on, and what we can do about it.
I'll feel better when I get more information. It's always the not knowing that's the hardest part.
My dad's 82. There's a lot of cancer on his side of the family. He's lived longer than 3 of his brothers and 2 of his sisters did. He's lived longer than his dad did. I can step up and take care of my dad and watch out for him.
I just need some more information right now. I'll get it, soon, I'm sure.
