I'm having to take a little break from the lace to get a Harry Potter scarf knitted up before July 15:
Lots of boring stockinette, eh? I originally started knitting it on 2 straight needles double-knit style, but it wasn't going quickly enough for me. (I hate long stretches of stockinette. I know it's the process as much as the product, but still...) It's going more quickly on a 16" circular. Yes, I hate short circulars. But I want to be THROUGH with this thing as quickly as possible. At least I can read while I knit it. I'm currently working back through Paladin of Souls by Lois McMaster Bujold. This particular ebook is really well formatted, btw. You can touch on underlined links in the text for characters, places, etc. and you'll go to an appendix that tells you a bit about the thing referenced in the link. Very cool.
Dog stuff (no knitting content):
Jasper's gotten a lot of blog time lately, so I figured it was time to mention the other dogs a little. Here's Jasper with his partner in crime, Bouncer:
Bouncer's my buddy. He loves his mama (me.) Even though he's about 8 years old, he's the only one of my dogs that will play with Jasper even a little. As Jasper's gotten older, he's decided that he can boss Bouncer around more. And Bouncer's a soft, sweet dog, and doesn't challenge him.

Here's Ivan, aka Mr. Boo. He lives in his own little world and has his own schedule. He's Dear Robert's dog. Jasper thinks he's a big chew toy. Ivan's about 12.
Here's my old lady, Cammie, aka Cambot, aka Baby Bop, aka the Bot. Cammie's about 14, and feeling her age. But she's a sweet old lady, and we'll keep her and care for her as long as we can. And she's the only other female in the household. Cammie's main job these days is holding down the sofa. She does like to sit by the fence gate sometimes and watch the kids go by.
I love my puppies.

LOVE the puppy pictures, and stories! They sound so lovable.

Someday - we must get together! Our most recent blog entries almost mirror each other. :) I'm coming as far south as Birmingham AL this weekend. So close but yet so far.

Oh, you have the sweetest looking companions. I love pet photos, and you have aplenty. Hug them all for me.
I love the scarf too. It's very attractive!

Your dogs are beautiful. My mutt Ben is a springer Spaniel / Border Collie cross. We tink he is about 6 years old maybe 7 ( he is a resucue dog that we have had for 5 years. He's a handful but we love him
Keep knitting on that scarf - there is light at the end of the tunnel :- )

Oh Jasper! I didn't know you were with so many seniors. You behave yourself, but keep them active, they need your "youngness" around them.

I've got a dog that can compete with your Cammie in that holding down the couch catagory. :) HP is nearly upon us so I know who ever you're making it for will love you forever if you have it done by the 15th. Do you ever listen to audio books while you knit? I loving doing that.
