I know I have the Spider Queen on the needles, and I should be working on that, but I wanted a more summery yarn to work with. I decided to pull out some of the tencel I bought last year and start the Shetland Tea Shawl from A Gathering of Lace. Here's the center. As always, you can't tell much detail of the lace while it's on the needles:
The color ranges from a dark green to a medium green. I really like it, but after knitting on it a while, it occurred to me that I may be making the world's largest camouflage doily. Heh. But as it gets bigger, the variegations may even out a bit. I'm going to continue anyway. The lace patterns are easy (I even took it to a SnB last night) and the yarn feels nice.
It's lacey summery goodness!

You are the lace QUEEN - knitting lace at a S&B! I'm sure it will be fantastic when finished. Sorry I missed last night, see you Tuesday, though.

Camouflage would never have entered my mind. But now that you've said it... LOL Just kidding! It looks great - the greens are very rich.
