It's 3 am. We just got back from taking Jasper to the emergency vet. He had no appetite, was vomiting and was having bloody diarrhea. The doctor checked for parvo, just in case, and luckily THAT test was negative. So he's being treated for hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, which is apparently something that can come on suddenly like this and produce the same symptoms we're seeing in Jasper. He'll be on antibiotics and other assorted drugs as well as fluids for the next day or two, and hopefully he can pull through this. He may be in the hospital for a couple of days.
Positive/healing thoughts would be most welcome. We're pretty worried right now.

Poor dogs! I'm glad Bouncer is feeling better, anyway. I'll keep Jasper in my prayers.

Poor puppy, and poor you. I've been at the emergency vet at 3am, and it's a grim place. Hope Jasper is back to chewing up the house really soon.

Poor puppy. It hurts all over when one of our fur babies gets sick. Thank goodness there are emergency vets.
