I've got a bad cold, a slight fever and ZERO appetite. Two of those things (fever and lack of appetite) are DIRE symptoms for me. I almost never run a fever, and I lose my appetite even less often. Blehhhh...
I'm feeling slightly better today than yesterday, but when you say that, you've pretty much said it all.
But before I got puny, I had a good day spinning out at Stone Mountain. There's a really nice gentleman named Richard who comes by and chats with us sometimes. He's also a very good amateur photographer. He took a few pictures of me on Saturday.
Here I am spinning cotton, working that supported long draw:
It looks like my right hand is pinching the top of the maiden* on my side. It's not. I'm just intermittently holding the yarn being spun.
You can see the puni in my left hand there. I was looking at one of the park visitors when he snapped this picture. I think I look a lot like my mom in this picture. Though she didn't usually have the kind of hairspray failure I'm having in these pictures. Hair in the face -- yuck!
Many thanks to Richard for the pictures!!
I'm off to try to eat something bland and rest till I have to go out again later today. Think healthy thoughts for me, ok?
*That sounds a little racy, doesn't it??

Poor lady! I hope you feel better soon. This smoky air is not helping either.

I'm so sorry you're sick!
Those photos are lovely of you -

Aww, feel better soon. I'm with you on the fever/lack of appetite thing. Those are two symptoms I rarely get. Take it easy on yourself and feel better soon.
The pictures are great, by the way. Don't let anyone judge you for pinching your maiden (or not).

Feel better soon! There's nothing like being sick when the weather is so glorious.
Love the pictures of you from Stone Mountain; you're just radiant!

I'm going to have to see that in person. The sort of draw used? No clue. Might as well be speaking Greek.

I've had a nasty bug for the last week.. sore throat, sinus pressure..etc. This smoke in the air isn't helping anyone either. I love the photos.. I am really hoping to be able to take the Munchkin and come out and visit you one day while you're at Stone Mtn.

Get well soon! And, yes, "pinching the top of the maiden" sounds totally obscene. :)

The pics are great - one of these days I should drag the hubby to the Renfest... Just my luck - when I skip a Wednesday knitting meeting - you are there... I heard you thaught Diana how to work the drop spindle. Sweet - I told her she was in the very best hands with the spinning Obe Wan Kenobi. ;-) I hope you feel a lot better by now.

I've never been to Stone Mountain and everyone tells me I should see it. Maybe I can time a trip when you'll be there next. Do you know when that will be? By the way, the pictures are very nice!
I hope you are already feeling much better. It's no fun to be sick, especially when it's so pretty outside.
