I actually made it to the Peachtree Handspinners Guild meeting yesterday! It was good to see everyone there. The program was on MacGyver spinning (using whatever materials are at hand for fiber processing, spinning or knitting), I broke down and made a purchase:

It's bombyx silk, dyed by Marci of Wauka Valley Farm. Marci does great work. This colorway reminded me of sunshine through leaves. Verra nice.
I think I'll go down to Knitch today to hang out with some folks for a bit...
It was great seeing you there! Can't wait to see that silk spun up. I'm chicken to do mine quite yet!

So what's the craziest MacGyver-type tool you've come up with?

Your silk is beautiful and I can't wait to see it spun up. I've been meaning to get to Knitch - it sounds like a great place!

That's a BEAUTIFUL color. A spinner friend just tried a silk for the first time recently and fell in love with it. I would love to get into spinning, but my husband would really like me to spend more time on any one of the hobbies that I currently do. :-)
